Giant Campus started as a technology camp for kids of all ages in 1997. Since then, we’ve expanded our offerings to include Giant Campus of Washington, a tuition-free online high school that focuses on high-tech topics. We’re accredited by the NAAS (Northwest Association of Accredited Schools). Working in partnership with the White Salmon Valley School District, we operate as an extension of Columbia Tech High School.

Our Philosophy
We believe that students thrive in a personalized learning environment that encourages creativity, independent thinking and community involvement. We believe that project-based learning methodologies provide the greatest opportunity for students to gain practical, hands-on experience. We believe that an online school that promotes 21st-century skills is an ideal place for students to learn about the world of technology and business.
How We’re Structured
Giant Campus of Washington offers two programs:
- Part-time for students in grades 9–12 (elective classes)
- Full-time for students grades 9–12 (core curriculum and elective classes, which exceed the state’s graduation requirements)
Our elective courses are organized into three concentrations of study: Computer Science, Digital Arts, and Business Innovation. All courses are taught online by experienced, certified teachers. Each class features live, weekly online class meetings; interactive, project-based lessons; and challenging assignments.
Giant Campus of Washington also offers an online campus full of activities, information and support. Students can easily interact with their instructors and other students online, take virtual field trips, join after-school clubs, stay on top of tech industry news, and more.
Parent Involvement
To help students achieve their full potential, we think it’s crucial to build strong partnerships between parents and the instructors, mentors and school staff at Giant Campus of Washington. We offer ongoing support through:
