Giant Campus is an online school offering inspiring learning experiences in the latest technology topics, such as game design, Web design, animation and video production.
We prepare students for success in an increasingly competitive global community by focusing on cutting-edge technology and 21st century skills such as collaboration, communication and critical thinking.
Since our start in 1997 as a summer technology camp, Giant Campus has been teaching technology skills to thousands of students across the U.S. in camps and online schools.
Our Mission
We are committed to preparing students for life beyond the classroom through a collaborative learning community and an engaging curriculum that promotes independent thinking, creativity and originality.
Our Philosophy
Everything we do is centered on the individual learner. We believe that today’s youth thrive in learning environments that foster creativity, exploration and discovery.
Our project-based learning model gives students hands-on experience and generates a portfolio of projects to show off to friends, family, colleges and employers.
With the guidance and mentoring of our professional teaching staff, Giant Campus students use the latest technology tools to unlock their creativity and build skills for life beyond high school.
Our Courses
Our courses combine the best aspects of live instruction with the interactivity and immediacy of the Web. Courses can be taken from a school or home computer at a flexible time that works with your schedule and lifestyle.
Involving Parents
Giant Campus is dedicated to offering a state-of-the-art elective curriculum in technology subjects. Guided by our robust curriculum development model, each course from Giant Campus emphasizes learning by doing through hands-on projects that are carefully designed to engage students’ imagination and promote higher order thinking skills. We include parents every step of the way by:
- Inviting families to participate in a Parent/Teacher conference at least once per semester. These are not required, but are opportunities to share student successes and areas for growth.
- Providing access to an instructor’s e-mail address and telephone number, if questions and concerns arise.
- Proactive outreach if the student is struggling with the academic workload or time management aspects of the course.
If you’re a Washington State high school student seeking to add or replace an elective course, our tuition-free Giant Campus of Washington courses may be a good fit for you.
